Well, I could’ve used the descriptive ‘Starblazers’, but that’s already been taken by a cheesy anime show of the same name. Just kidding. I liked ‘Starblazers’. It was one of the only cool cartoons that made it into Utah back in the 80′s. Another cartoon was ‘Robotech’, but you had to get up and tape it at like 6 in the morning. I am not a morning person, so I never saw too much of it.
Like any other team of heroes, there is a variety of roles to consider. From L to R we have the following: The comedic alien sidekick, manhandled by their unstable and anorexic leader in the power armor. The not-so-feminine female lizard alien, the over-used human cadaver in an enviro-suit, and lastly… the skeptical mystic, who is constantly disobeying orders and bailing the team out all of the time in his maverick fashion.
Wow, did I say ‘maverick’ ? What I meant to say was ‘Wild-card’.
This was yet another excercise in ink. Here’s some close-ups:

“the skeptical mystic, who is constantly disobeying orders and bailing the team out all of the time in his maverick fashion.” Hahaha! I love it.
