heavenly man

I finished a really good book today. It is a biography called ‘Heavenly Man’. It is an account about one man’s experiences as a witness of Christ in Communist China.  He spent years in prison, mistreated. The book convicted me beyond belief.

It pointed out the disconnect between the posh ‘western’ churches, and those churches where persecution is present.  We here in America better wake up.  Before we know it, it will be against the law to speak out and have a conservative or Biblically oriented opinion about anything.

Hence the green ink doodle of my chameleon alien guy.  He blends in with his environment to keep himself safe.  He will be in trouble when his environs change and suddenly aren’t worth hiding in anymore. 

Much like our churches.  Let’s hide in our churches and just pray everything changes… or, we can actually step out – fulfill the great commission and make a difference, empowered by the Holy Spirit Himself.
